AUDI Q5
The Audi Q5 is a series of compact luxury crossover SUVs produced by Audi since 2008. AUDI Q5 GENERATIONS
FIRST GENERATION (Typ 8R; 2008)
The first-generation Audi Q5 was manufactured from July 2008 to 2017 for model years 2009 to 2017. Audi built it at many locations, including Ingolstadt, Germany; Kaluga, Russia (Volkswagen Group Russia); Changchun, China; Aurangabad, Maharashtra, India; and Shah Alam, Malaysia (Euromobil). Christian Winkelmann designed this 5-door SUV in 2005, which has a front-engine, four-wheel-drive (quattro) layout and is based on the MLB platform. Similar to the Porsche Macan, the Q5’s powertrain comprises a 2.0 L TFSI I4, a 2.0 L TDI diesel I4, a 3.0 L TDI diesel V6, and a 3.2 L V6 FSI. The transmission options are a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed Tiptronic, an 8-speed Tiptronic ZF 8HP, and a 7-speed S Tronic.
SECOND GENERATION (Typ FY; 2017)
The second-generation Audi Q5 was introduced at the 2016 Paris Motor Show, and manufacturing began at the Audi Mexico facility on September 30, 2016, for the 2017 model year. It has been in continuous production since September 2016 and model years in the United States begin in 2018. Marc Lichte designed the Q5, which was assembled in San José Chiapa, Mexico (Audi México, S.A. de C.V.), Changchun, China (Q5L), and Aurangabad, India (Audi and Skoda Auto India Pvt Ltd). This 5-door SUV, commonly known as a 5-door coupé SUV (Sportback), has a front-engine, four-wheel-drive (quattro) layout and is based on the MLB evo platform.

Audi officially revealed the third generation Q5 on September 2, 2024.

The 2023 model received a Top Safety Pick+ rating and scored “Good” on all tests except the “Side: updated test.”
