LEXUS GX SAFETY

Passengers in the GX can feel confident knowing that a powerful passenger safety cell and 8 SRS airbags, along with the Lexus Safety System+, protect them. This suite of driver support technology provides top-tier safety, including the Safe Exit Assist feature, which warns passengers if traffic is approaching from behind when they try to open their door.

Accident prevention functions: Along with identifying road users such as motorcycles, the improved Lexus Pre-Collision System can avert more potential crashes, such as left/right turns and cut-in traffic. It can also detect incoming traffic or crossing pedestrians when turning at a junction. Emergency Steering Assist improves collision avoidance.

Dynamic Radar Cruise Control:This system uses a millimetre-wave radar sensor and camera to detect the vehicle in front and maintain an appropriate distance. If the vehicle in front comes to a halt, the GX will stop too. When the vehicle moves off again, you will too. It quickly recognises traffic cutting in front and, in conjunction with Lane Tracing Assist, follows a more natural line through bends.

Road Sign Assist (RSA) identifies traffic signs and informs the driver via the multi-information display. Dynamic Radar Cruise Control adjusts the car’s speed based on the RSA-recognized speed limit.

The GX features an Obstacle Anticipation Assist system and innovative Proactive Driving Assist with Active Driving Assist technology, which monitor road users and objects ahead, proactively controlling the brakes and steering to maintain a safe distance.Furthermore, Deceleration Assist helps you release the accelerator before a corner or a car in front, resulting in smoother and safer deceleration.
